With Chris Ault’s Dec. 28, 2012 retirement as head coach of Nevada, I thought I’d post one of the first features written about him, from Nevada’s school paper, The Sagebrush. Ault ended up taking a 3-8 team to 8-3 in his first year, and the rest was history, culminating with Ault inventing the Pistol offense and taking the Colin Kaepernick 2010 squad to an13-1 record and an 11th national ranking. It’s been quite a career.
