I was the Union’s daytime police reporter from about mid-1987 until I left the paper in late 1989. While the Dorothea Puente boardinghouse murders dominated a lot of that period, there were still plenty of things happening that kept me busy. I couldn’t post everything I did during those years here, so I tried to focus on the mostly Page 1 stories and those that folks still seem to remember and talk about even today.
