This was the last story I could find that I wrote for the Union on the Puente murders, as it was turned over to the court reporters while officials prepared for trial. The county report described here, “Sins of Omission,” ended up being the basis of the first book on the Puente murders, the premature “Human Harvest,” released in 1990.
